Job Title: Senior Accountant

Wage/Hour Status: $80,000 annually, Full Time

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial decision-making process. You will work closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting. QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a corporate environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with an ability to identify discrepancies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders.
  • Strong math and analytical skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Google applications
  • Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintain complete and systematic records of assigned financial transactions.
  • Process invoices for payment
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Oversee month-end close process, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Support the annual budgeting process by providing accurate forecasts and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies by performing regular audits of financial data.
  • Collaborate with auditors and tax professionals to provide necessary documentation and support during audits and tax filings.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports to guide management decision-making.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies in financial data.
  • Oversight of other accounting personnel as businesses expand.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors of financial services.
  • Lead audit process from planning through conclusion.
  • Other duties as assigned.
