Job Title: Technology Instructor

Wage/Hour Status: $ 55,000-$60,000

Reports to: VP of Information Services

Location: Lewisville, TX (This is not a remote position)

Position Summary: 

The Technology Instructor is responsible for the preparation and delivery of appropriate training material to meet diverse technology needs across the Blue Learning workforce. The individual must be able to speak in front of a crowd, produce and understand training materials, work closely with individuals and evaluate how well employees have learned. This individual shall prepare and utilize written materials, or use educational and testing software as part of the training process. He/she must be effectively organized, self-motivated, and with a positive attitude. The Technology Instructor potentially assists with building employee satisfaction within the context of that individual’s technology experience within the organization.

Education/Certification

∙ High School Diploma/GED (Bachelor’s preferred)

Experience

∙ 3+ Years’ experience in delivering Technology Instruction

∙ 3+ Years’ experience using GSuite/Office productivity tools

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

∙ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

∙ Excellent problem-solving skills

∙ Creative thinking to deliver innovative solutions

∙ Strong design/product marketing skills

∙ Ability to maintain effective working relationships with a consistently positive attitude

∙ Maintain a professional appearance and neat work area

∙ Ability to travel as required

Responsibilities and Duties:

∙ Assessing individual/group training needs.

∙ Planning and researching opportunities for training material.

∙ Teaching Corporate and Campus staff to use various applications / software, as well as how to interact with the provided hardware (technology).

∙ Preparing written training material (job aids, how-to articles, FAQs).

∙ Performing live training sessions (webinars or one-on-one training sessions). ∙ effectively employing teaching and learning strategies that promote participant engagement.

∙ Modifying instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse needs.

∙ Effectively employing available instructional technology (when appropriate).

∙ Contributing to the selection and development of instructional materials.

∙ Conducting evaluations to identify areas of improvement in training initiatives.

∙ Assuming responsibilities where needed.

∙ Keeping Technology skills and knowledge up to date.

Computing Devices, Presentation and Telecommunication Equipment.

Physical / Environmental Factors:

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This position may require prolonged sitting, standing,  walking, and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull small items up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Other physical  demands may include hand and eye coordination, manual dexterity, visual acuity, speech and hearing,  repetitive motion, climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, balancing,  occasional prolonged or irregular hours, and driving to perform essential functions. A valid driver’s  license and a good driving record will be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable  individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
